KATHMANDU: At least 3 persons died when a bus hit a motorcycle they were riding on at Hariban-11 in Sarlahi district on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Amir Jung Thapa (19) and Bikash BK (19) of Hariban-11 and Bishal Shrestha (17) of Hariban-9.
The bus (Me 1 Kha 2208) hit the bike (Na 29 Pa 353) at around 9 pm, police said.
Thapa and Shrestha succumbed to injuries on the way to a hospital while BK breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Hetaunda-based Churehill Hospital, police further said.
Similarly, a pedestrian indentified as Pawan Khoju Shrestha (28) of Hariban-11 sustained minor injuries in the incident.
He has already returned home after receiving treatment.
The Area Police Office, Hariban has impounded the vehicle and arrested its driver for investigation.
