Binod Prasad Sapkota had fatally attacked Basanta Prasad Sapkota, 61, with the sharp weapon in which the latter sustained injured in his ear, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.
The 25-year-old, reportedly drunk, had attacked his father over a domestic dispute while the father-son duo were sitting in their house at Ganeshgunj of Bharatpur Sub-Metropolitan City-19 in Chitwan district.
Critically injured in the incident, the elderly was rushed to the Chitwan Medical College where he breathed his last during the treatment, police said.
Police have arrested the alleged attacker for further investigation into the case. RSS
